BIOGRAPHIES

Jeff
Galloway started Emergency Training Systems with the goal
that people learn best by hands-on training. He currently
serves as a Federal Safety Officer with previous deployments
to the Columbia Shuttle Disaster, Florida Hurricane season
2004, Wildfire seasons of 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004
and Hurricane Andrew. With over 28 years in the fire service
Jeff Galloway has held positions of Department Safety Officer,
Lieutenant, Training Officer, Driver Engineer and retired
from Palm Beach County (Florida) Fire Rescue in 2004. Jeff
also holds a Federal Red Card for Strike Team Engine Leader,
Strike Team Crew Leader and Structure Protection Specialist
and has been deployed both within the State of Florida and
Nationally. He has served as the Safety Officer, Deputy
Incident Commander and Liaison Officer with the Florida
Type II Interagency Management Gold Team. As an avid horse
owner, rider and Large Animal Rescue Instructor he is now
concentrating on training Firefighters and Emergency Personnel
how to handle horses and other large animals during natural
and man made disasters, Barn Fires and other emergency situations
with large animals.

James
Schaffner James is a twenty three year veteran of Palm Beach
County Fire Rescue, where is currently assigned as a District
Chief, responsible for a battalion of 9 stations on a 24
hour shift basis. James has an A.S. Degree in Fire Science
Technology and a B.A. in Organizational Management. In his
twenty three years at Palm Beach County Fire Rescue James
has held the positions of Firefighter/Paramedic, Driver
Operator, Company Officer, Training Officer, Safety Officer
and District Chief. James holds instructor certifications
in many disciplines and teaches regularly at the local,
state and national level.

Daryl
Newport is considered an expert in the field of extrication
and New Car Technology. A retired District Chief from Palm
Beach County ( Florida) Fire Rescue where he served 29 years
and was assigned to the Special Operations Division for
15 years. He is the inventor of the Capabear Claw and Kodiak
stabilization struts. He has been featured on CNN and USA
Today offering insight into the responds to Hybrid Vehicles.
Daryl Newport currently instructs extrication at the worlds
largest heavy rescue class in Dayton, Ohio and Louisville,
Kentucky. In 2003 he was presented with the prestigious
Harvey Grant Award for his contribution to the field of
extrication. He is the past chair of the Transportation
Emergency Response Committee, and chairs the National Extrication
Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada for Fire Rescue Magazine.
